I never thought I would ever write this, but I am currently overwhelmed by the choices we have when it comes to plays and musicals in Sanford – and that is a good thing! Starting this weekend we will be spoiled with 3 great musicals/plays – try to catch at least one of them and support the local arts so we can have even more of it in the future 😉

Update on October 2, 2014:

I just came across this great dinner special offered by The Corner Cafe… I have had their dinner specials before and can tell you, they were fantastic! The Corner Cafe is one of my favorite dining spots in Sanford 🙂

12 Angry Jurors Sanford FL

3. 12 Angry Jurors (Play by Reginald Rose)

Where: The Princess Theater in Sanford, 115 West 1st Street, Sanford, FL 32771

When: Oct. 2, 9, 16 at 7pm – Oct. 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18 at 8pm – Oct. 5, 12, 19 at 2pm

What: A 19-year-old man has just stood trial for the fatal stabbing of his father. “He doesn’t stand a chance,” mutters the guard as the 12 jurors are taken into the bleak jury room. It looks like an open-and-shut case—until one of the jurors begins opening the others’ eyes to the facts. But it is personal for each juror, with each juror revealing his or her own character as the various testimonies are re-examined, the murder is re-enacted and a new murder threat is born before their eyes! Tempers get short, arguments grow heated, and the jurors become angry. Our modern retelling will become a battle of the sexes versus the traditional staging using all men.
