Talent Town is thrilled to offer SUMMER CAMPS to our community at an affordable price. As a performing arts school, each camp theme is unique and imaginative and will include dance, drama, music and more. Let’s Dance – June 4th-8th

This is a perfect introduction to the different forms in dance through creative movement, storytelling, and games. (Please wear comfortable workout clothes and socks.)

Learn and practice investigative skills, fingerprinting, clue hunting, and more. Through a dramatic mystery, solve the crime at the end of the week by using your detective skills

Return to an era of kings & queens. Through the use of dance and drama girls will learn proper etiquette, styling, floral arrangements, hostessing, and everything else princess-ish. A Fashion Show and Victorian Tea at the end of the week will be the highlight.

Calling All Superheroes – June 25th-29th

Want to be a superhero? Through dramatic games & activities, explore what it means to be a hero. Take agility, strength & mental acuity challenges. Use your super-persona to save the day!

Games, activities and everything musical – instrument introduction & exploration, vocal tips, moving to music, harmony….If you like music you will LOVE this!

Who knew time travel was possible – join us as we revisit some of history’s coolest times. Using games & activities along with performing arts, we will journey to places and people in the past, and maybe even visit the future.

LOTR & Hobbit Fans Unite – July 16th-20th

If you enjoy sword fights, treasure, unexpected journeys, and lembas bread – you won’t want to miss this camp. Through drama, music, stunt choreography, games & activities you will feel like one of J.R.R Tolkien’s characters. (For 3rd-8th grade)

Talent Town Day Camps Important Information:

  • Day Camps are for kids who have already completed Kindergarten-5th grade (unless otherwise noted).
  • Camps run from 8:30am-noon with optional early drop off at 7:30am (additional $10 per week).

INVESTMENT:

  • Summer Camp investment is $75 per week (for all 5 days) or optional $50 for 3 day week (you choose the days).
  • Registration is $10 per child through May 1st. $15 after May 1st.
  • A 5% discount will be applied to any additional weeks of camp after the first one. (No refunds on camp tuition.)
  • Each child will receive a swag bag, entry to our weekly raffles, take-homes, snacks and water. (Please provide your child’s snack if they have allergies or dietary restrictions.)
  • We always have a CPR/FIRST AID certified staff member on our campus.

Talent Town Summer Workshops

Our summer workshops are perfect for those wanting to learn a new skill or improve upon a talent they already have. You can attend just 1 workshop or save $$ by signing up for multiple classes. Each workshop will involve instruction and lots of practice.

Art of Dance

Class meets on Mondays from 5-6:30pm. Our dance workshops are for ages 8-18, for dancers who want to improve their overall dance techniques while learning some new skills. Each week will be a different focus that will help our dancers to become stronger, well-rounded athletes.

Looking to sharpen your musical skills this summer? Join us for a 5-day Summer Music Academy that provides a fun setting to learn and grow, both musically and spiritually, this summer! Academy sessions are taught by contracted instructors who are confessing Christians and who take their mission as teachers/performers seriously. They are experts in the field who mentor tomorrow’s musicians with care and wisdom.

Our half day (9 AM – 12 PM) program is open to elementary-age students with no previous musical experience required. Students will spend their week singing in choir, as well as playing Orff instruments, handchimes, and recorders. Parents and friends are invited to join us for a closing concert on Friday, June 29, at 11:30 am. Cost – $80 per student.

Our full day (9 AM – 3:45 PM) program is open to middle and high school students who are intermediate to advanced level instrumental musicians. Students will spend their week rehearsing in both small and large ensemble settings (chamber ensembles, orchestra), learning music theory, and working with faculty in recital and masterclass settings. Parents and friends are invited to join us for a closing concert on Friday, June 29, at 6:00 PM. Cost is $175 per student.

Learn how people once worked, ate, traveled, and played at the Museum of Seminole County History! Each of the four days in our History Camp follows a different one of these themes, spanning time periods from 50-3500 years ago. We will be partaking in special crafts, activities, games, and challenges to illustrate just how different things used to be!

Participants will get to handle and identify authentic artifacts from many different periods, and use reproductions as they would have been used in their time. There will also be musket-firing demonstrations by experienced living historians, archaeology workshops, and take-home crafts!

July 25th: Crazy Chemistry Lab
Shake up a flask of fun in the lab and become a junior chemist! Campers will explore chemistry and the fun of mixing things together! Camps will make and experiment with all sorts of SLIMY concoctions!

August 8th: Crazy Coders
Red Hot Robots! Learn all about robotics and coding as we explore using Ozobots and other fun robots. Get your own robot hand to take home!

PAL Camp is available to all children ages 5-14, children do not have to live in Seminole County to participate; however, we do follow the Seminole County School Board Calendar. Spring camp will be held from March 19th to the 23rd, 2018.  The application deadline for Spring Camp is Friday March 16, 2018.  The 2018 Summer camp will be held from June 4, 2018 to August 3, 2018.

 

There is a non-refundable $50.00 per child registration fee to enroll children in Summer Camp. The weekly fee is $90.00.  The camp hours are 7 AM to 6 PM with organized activities occurring from 9 AM to 4 PM. Each camper is responsible for bringing their lunch and 2 snacks each day as we do not provide any food.

Seminole County Sheriff’s Office PAL Camps is a proactive initiative to offer low cost, safe and supervised activities to youths during Seminole County Public Schools Spring and Summer breaks. We have limited spots available for our 2018 Summer Camp, so register early.

The camp session dates for 2018 are June 4th 2018 – August 3rd 2018 , Camp runs Monday through Friday 7.00am – 6.00pm.

The Salvation Army offers a safe environment with fully trained and experienced staff.

Summer Camp enrollment will begin April 2018.

The Salvation Army office is located at 700 West 24th Street in Sanford. You will need to come to the gymnasium entrance where you can fill out your application. You will also need to bring the first full week’s registration fee. Registration will be open to children between the ages of 5-14.

The cost for the camp will be $60.00 per week for 1 child, $115.00 a week for 2 and $140.00 a week for 3 and field trips are extra. Lunch and snacks will be provided.

If a returning child brings a new friend I will take 50% off your first week’s payment for introducing a new family to our summer camp.

Camp activities will include:

Sport’s, video games, music, Arts & crafts, exciting field trips, Swimming plus much more.
