This looks almost like home to me… No wonder I get excited every time I see a car with a German license plate on its front. And if the car is a German make on top of that it’s simply the perfect match. To top it off, this car does not only have a German license plate and was made in Germany, it has the license plate from the city it was built in: a BMW with a Munich license plate (M stand for Munich).
I am not sure what system US license plates go by, but in Germany every city has its own letter. The bigger the city, the fewer letters, with the maximum amount of letters being 3 (with few exceptions but I won’t get into that). With Munich being one of the largest cities (currently number 3 after Berlin and Hamburg) they “earned” their “one letter license tag”.

I guess if you could apply the system here we would all have a SAN license plate. But enough rambling, just a little bit of trivia for you guys 😉
