In October of 2009 I had blogged about H&M opening in Sanford and attended the Grand Opening Party for Orlando (see this post including video), so since the announcement of the new H&M store opening in Altamonte Springs I have been getting a lot of questions here on the blog. So naturally I figured, why not post the details here…
It’s true, the Altamonte Mall will soon be one of the lucky malls to have an H&M 
To celebrate the event, H&M will give away gift cards ($10-$300!) for the first 100 in the store on Thursday, August 11th, 2011. The store will open its doors at 12pm (noon) and is located on the lower level diagonally across from Forever21 (you can enter easily through Barnes&Nobles and then just proceed to the lower level once you are inside the mall).
I actually attended the grand opening of the Sanford Store and here is a picture I snapped while waiting in line (I got there almost 2 hours in advance)…
That day I got a $25 gift card and a t-shirt, a friend of mine got lucky and won a $75 gift card. Back then though, as far as I can remember, H&M gave away gift cards to more than 100 people, so it was a bit easier to get one. 100 is not too many so if you are serious about scoring a card be there early!

Now, if you want to avoid all the hustle and bustle I would really recommend you go shopping at H&M in the Seminole Town Center Mall in Sanford! Especially during the week the store is rarely packed and it’s always a very pleasant shopping experience. Also, for all of you in Sanford and Lake Mary, remember to support your local mall (and local H&M store): I buy whatever I can here and only go to other malls/areas if I can’t find a particular store here. That way we can all help keep stores at the Seminole Town Center mall and, in general, in this area so we all benefit.
