Sanford, meet Jamie!! Right now she lives at Pet Rescue by Judy’s animal shelter, but she is looking for her forever home.

A couple of weeks ago, the boys (and that includes Jose) and I participated in Pet Rescue by Judy’s “Dog for a Day” program. The kids were loving on Jamie and she made lots of new friends at Pints n’Paws which took place the very same Saturday we spent with her (she really bonded with Susi and Whiskey, the two Downtown Sanford labs of our friends Catherine and Alejandro).

Watch the video we put together and then tell us, isn’t she just adorable?? At only 9 months old she is such a well behaved good dog!

The “Dog for a Day” program is available all week from 10am-4pm, with pick up being between 10am-11am and drop off no later than 4pm. This is part of the foster programs the shelter offers. It gives their dogs an opportunity to get out of their kennels for a fun filled day. You can take them to anything you think they might enjoy, even if it’s just for a few hours. You will certainly brighten up their day and who knows, you might just fall in love with your new friend and take him home!

We had so much fun with Jamie and even missed her after we dropped her off. Due to our uber busy schedules we know though that now is not the right time to welcome a new family member into our home. I do believe though that we might be ready sooner than we think, and we are planning to continue being part of the “Dog for a Day” program. Besides, Downtown Sanford is the perfect spot to spend time with our new lovable friends!
