Day 272 – Fountain Parke Lake Mary

Fountain Parke Lake Mary

Fountain Parke Lake Mary

One of my favorite communities in Lake Mary is Fountain Parke. This Tuscan inspired community is located right off Rinehart Road. I just love the charm and Mediterranean flair of Fountain Parke. This shot was taken from the balcony of a townhome I showed here today. The tile roofs look great and they have done an awesome job with the landscaping in the community. I wish there were more Mediterranean style communities in the area.

Before I moved to Florida I thought the majority of homes would have tile roofs and be surrounded by palm trees. In South Florida you really do find more of those but the further North you go the less tile roofs and palm trees you will find. I guess that is what makes Fountain Parke even more special to me ;)

What people don’t seem to know is that the developer, DRHorton, is selling off the unfinished portion of this community. It’s listed right now with a commercial real estate company. What does this mean for the people who already bought homes there? What will be built when the land is sold, will it still be the same quality? I would be afraid to buy because of this.

As we just relocated, we are currently renting in Fountain Parke. There is a very serious parking issue here, or lack of I should say. The lack of parking causes people to park in “unauthorized” areas, which leads to daily police tickets. Also the appliance suite that comes with the townhouse are absolutely terrible, in one month three new appliances had issues. I see appliance repair men in our neighborhood almost daily!
