Captains Cove Sanford FL
Captain’s Cove is definitely one of my favorite bars in Sanford. The pool patio by the River makes it the perfect spot to hang out with friends on a warm summer night, enjoy a cool beer and listen to the live music.

When I first “discovered” this place 4 years ago with a friend (back then the place had a different name and wasn’t renovated yet), I was extremely happy and excited! Ever since I can remember I have been wanting to experience a true poolside bar. Is it because I’m German (and always looking for the tropical Florida atmosphere as opposed to cold rainy summers as we have them in Germany) or why do I think this is beyond special? Either way, this is one of my top picks when it comes to Sanford area bars. Can’t believe it took me so long to post something about it but until tonight we hadn’t been here since I started this blog end of September (it was probably just too cold for me…).
Only disadvantage: mosquitoes get pretty wild, so bring along an insect repellent. Even now, before spring or summer time, I have been bitten several times… Nevertheless, I am willing to take that sacrifice to enjoy the unique atmosphere.

Also,watch out for those fun summer pool parties. There are typically signs all over highway 46 advertising them once it’s time again 
Great plan for the day: Meet your friends for a relaxing afternoon by the pool. Read your favorite book or magazine while tanning in the Florida sun.

- $7.99 Sunday Brunch with $1 Mimosas and $3 Bloody Mary Bar.
