Day 167 – Dollar Tree is the place to be in a tough economy

After work we stopped by the local Sanford Dollar Tree store (located at the Gateway Plaza right by the Seminole Towne Center Mall, you know, the one where you can also find Toys’R'Us and Bed Bath & Beyond) to buy some promo items for a fun gift that we were putting together.

I have to say, I was impressed with the amount of different items you can now find at the dollar store! Wow, this is just what is needed in today’s economy. Why am I going to keep spending $4 on a hair shampoo and body lotion if I can get the same thing (only in different, not so fancy packaging) for $1? Sure, there are items I won’t buy here, but for the most part I saw a lot of products that will be my future alternative to the more expensive version. Don’t get me wrong, my favorite grocery store is still Target, but if I can get the same product and save some money I am up for it. And maybe I can spend my savings elsewhere as reward
