Busters Bistro Sanford FL

Day 96 through Day 121… So I have officially earned the title “Biggest Procrastinator of Sanford” and I am not proud of it. I hate to make excuses, so there won’t be any. I took it easy over the holidays and wanted to spend as much time as possible with my sister who was visiting from Germany and of course with my little family. You can tell from the nature of many of the posts in the past weeks that they all are a bit more personal in nature and I think that is OK because of the time of year. They still all took place in Sanford and hopefully one or the other post is still interesting to you. Rest assured, I didn’t forget to snap pictures, I just took it a bit (too) easy with the blogging so now I finally caught up on all the writing and am able to blast all the content out to you at once . Also, this intro probably only makes sense to my email subscribers that are receiving 20+ posts today. Either way, rest assured, I am still around đŸ˜‰

Today was such an exciting evening: I got to finally visit Buster’s Bistro on Sanford Avenue AND I got to meet some very interesting people to chat about Sanford. The Sanford Project was started in the fall of 2013 and is funded by the non-profit organization Ashoka. I am sure in the next months and years you will hear a lot more about the project. I will also be sure to share as much as I can with you about it here or on Facebook. I am very excited that this group of students, professors and artists has made it their mission to help Sanford as a community and present our beautiful town to the world the way it really is. It’s great to meet people that are as passionate about Sanford as I am and I see big things happening for Sanford in the future!

Now a couple of words about Busters Bistro: ueber cool! I honestly have no idea why it took me so long to make it out to Busters! What a great atmosphere and fabulous location! On top of that Busters has an awesome beergarden in the back. I see lots of warm summer evenings spent here already! How I love those enclosed outdoor spaces!! Now the 3 Sanford restaurants/bistros representing my roots are also my favorites: The Willow Tree (I am German and grew up in Germany), La Sirena Gorda Cabana (my mom is Mexican) and Busters Bistro (I was born in Belgium and lived there for 4 years). How very random…

More to come about Busters, but if you haven’t checked it out yet, please do! They will be celebrating their 1 Year Anniversary on Saturday, January 25th.
