French Avenue in Sanford
Just a snapshot from the car while waiting for the light to switch. When I first moved to Sanford in 2004 I didn’t know that 17-92 is called French Avenue where it passes by the Sanford downtown area and historic area.
Not sure how many names 17-92 has throughout the Central Florida area but it sure does have many. I started a list with the different street names that 17-92 adopts throughout Central Florida (please note that in some cases the road only becomes 17-92 at some point):
- Volusia Avenue
- Woodland Boulevard
- Charles Richard Beall Boulevard
- Seminole Boulevard
- French Avenue
- Orlando Drive
- Mills Avenue
- Colonial Drive
- Orange Blossom Trail (OBT)
- Main Street
- Emmet Street
- John Young Parkway
- Hinson Avenue
- Alfred Street/Alfred Drive
Feel free to add to the list! I’m curious to see if I forgot one or the other name
