Museo del Oro in Bogota
Pure gold can be seen at the Museo del Oro in Bogota. It is one of the main points of interests when visiting Colombia. No other museum in Latin America holds a collection of gold as vast as the Museo del Oro (Museum of Gold) in Bogota, Colombia. So of course we visited the newly re-designed museum and took a little tour. There are some amazing pieces in the collection and I was impressed by the vast history of the Indian tribes that populated (and some still do) Colombia before the arrival of the “conquistadores” from Spain. Should you ever be in Bogota, this museum is worth a visit!
